Otterburn House, 8-12 Bromley Road, Beckenham, Kent BR3 5JE
It is just off Beckenham High Street and a short walk from Beckenham Junction railway station. There are car parks within walking distance.

How long will it last?

It is usually done on an open-ended basis and you complete when you feel ready. It can be done on a short-term basis, with a focus on particular issues. This can last from anywhere between ten sessions upto a year of weekly sessions.

What if I want to cease therapy?

You are under no legal obligation to continue beyond the current session, but working through the feelings and issues connected with endings is a very important part of the therapeutic process. It is, therefore, important to allow an amount of time proportionate to the overall length of the therapy for this to happen.

What if I cancel or fail to show up for a session?

You have to pay for missed sessions. If sufficient notice is given it may be possible to rearrange, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Will treatment make me unhappy?

It can make you aware of unresolved pain and loss as well as introducing you to aspects of yourself that you have not been willing to face in the past. You may feel that you are regressing as you become more aware of the difficulties and uncomfortable feelings associated with your childhood. Working through these difficulties within the safety and support of a therapeutic relationship can enable you to cope and live a more fulfilled life.
